Wrapping up FD tagger project

We have wrapped up the tagger project with a multi-value text classifier of 597 classes. The classifier model is deployed in an endpoint in AWS and is connected to the editorial’s CMS system. Every time an article is saved in the CMS system, the tags are retrieved from our tagger endpoint.

Great fun at the SEA-XL meetup presenting our projects in the DNI team. My talk is entitle “Mining Knowledge in News for Personalization” where I show our building blocks of the personalized services: personalized newsletter with collaborative filtering, entity linker to companies, sentiment analysis and BNR tagger. I have a great time presenting our work on personalized newsletter campaign in het FD at the 9th RecSysNL meetup. Take-home message: our readers prefer personalized newsletters with collaborative filtering than the traditional popularity based newsletters. The slides can be found here.
